Are you an Indian takeaway?
We don’t think of ourselves as a takeaway, more of a delicatessen. We spend hours and hours researching and testing out dishes and only the ones that we would eat at home make the cut. Dishes that might seem simple and traditional but have complex flavours using only the best ingredients. You won’t find ready-made sauces, for us taste is everything, this is cooking with heart and soul. All of our food is blast chilled to trap in all the flavour before you heat up at home.
Will my food be fresh or frozen?
Your food will be fresh and chilled, stamped with a use by date. Most items are produced so that the use by will be Sunday. For example a delivery on a Thursday can be eaten as a Saturday night banquet, and left overs on Sunday.
How do I heat my food up?
All our dishes have heating instructions printed on the side of the container. Don’t worry, they are really straightforward and normally as simple as heating up in a pan or the microwave.
Can I freeze my dishes for a later date?
Yes, absolutely. Plenty of our customers do this. They will be fine stored in the freezer for up to three months. We’d suggest you do this as soon as possible after receiving your order. We wouldn’t recommend re-freezing anything that you have previously defrosted or heated up though.
Do you deliver?
Yes we do! You can order on UBER Eats or via Shocal. Both links are in the header.
Why do you only open on a Wednesday/Thursday/Friday?
This is home cooking, we don’t have a big warehouse where food is stored and nor would we want to. Your food is as fresh as it would be if you were sitting down for dinner at my own house. We order all the ingredients, do a big batch cook. It might not be quite as convenient but honestly, the taste makes up for that! Also, don’t forget that you can freeze our curries and they will still taste wonderful when defrosted on the day you need them.
What is your food hygiene rating?
Top marks. 5 out of 5 awarded by Environmental Health Old Trafford.
How can I find out when the next menu is live?
You can sign up to our mailing list and we will send you an email when the next menu goes live. You can also keep up to date with all live info on Instagram. Follow us on @bangacurriesuk
Do you cater for vegans?
We try to create as diverse a menu as possible with one chef. Once the kitchen expands there will be more options including vegan. Meanwhile any dishes that are vegan friendly will be listed next to the allergens.
